Alison Krauss

The first wave of international fame was experienced by bluegrass singer Alison Krauss in 1990 when she was 19 years old, she was able to walk away at her first Grammy Awards with the trophy for Best Bluegrass Album. The win was a feat that was not solely due to Krauss's age but because the album that earned her such recognition, I've Got That Old Feeling It was actually the third release in Krauss's catalog. Too Late to Cry was her debut album that was released around her Champaign Illinois born artist's age sixteen. She had already signed to Rounder Records, one of the most prestigious folk labels when she was just fourteen. And Krauss's accomplishments even at this young age and astounding virtuosity have consistently been in awe of her dedication to bluegrass, the oldest and possibly the most neglected in traditional American traditional forms of music. Krauss had now matured from being a teenager phenom to an accomplished musician and producer. Alison Alison Alison
