
Suzanne Pleshette, born January 31, 1937, passed away on January 19 2008. She was an American film voice actress, voice actor and television host. Pleshette began her acting career in the theatre and appeared in films in the late 1950s. Later, she was an actor of note in films like Rome Adventure (1962), Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds (633) and Spirited Away (11). Then, she appeared in several television productions and was frequently acting as a guest. She was Emily Hartley in The Bob Newhart Show, 1972-1978 which earned her several Emmy Award nominations. Pleshette was the daughter of Geraldine (nee Kaplan), and Eugene Pleshette. She was born in Brooklyn Heights, New York City on the 31st of January 1937. The parents of her were Jewish as were the children of emigrants from Russia and Austria-Hungary.Her mother was an artist and dancer who performed under the stage name Geraldine Rivers. Her father was a stage manager in both the Paramount Theater and Paramount Theater in Manhattan.
