Alisyn Camerota
Alisyn Camerota - journalist, writer, host of the CNN's "New Day" morning program, Westport resident and Westport Country Playhouse trustee - has been elected. For the past three decades in the field of journalism, Camerota has covered stories nationally and internationally, earning one Emmy Award for her breaking news coverage of the arrest of Roger Stone, and the famous Edward R. Murrow Award for her news breaking coverage of the effects of Hurricane Maria on Puerto Rico. In other board of trustees' transitions Johnna G. Torsone of Stamford is named an honorary trustee, having been as a trustee since 2007 and Anna Czekaj Farber of Westport has been elected chair of the board following her service as board chair since 2013. Czekaj Farber succeeds Barbara Streicker from Westport who held the position of chairperson in the past year and was in this position ever since. The board of trustees for the Playhouse comprises 26 trustees.
