Aspen Ladd

Aspen Ladd's journey in combat sports began at 14 years old. Aspen Ladd was trained in kickboxing, BJJ, boxing and wrestling before making her first appearance as an amateur at WCFC at the age of 18. Ladd felt more confident following her win, and she won three bouts in Ultimate Reno Combat. Her adversaries were defeated all in the 1st round. Aspen returned to WCFC in order to defeat Leslie Rodriguez through a unanimous verdict. Aspen was able to defeat Silvia Babaeghian and Maddy Simmons before fighting Cynthia Calvillo in WCFC 9. Cynthia outclassed Aspen and swept her away in an unanimous vote to remove an ominous mark on her amateur record. Ladd defeated Roma Pawelek on Tuff n Uff, and increased her amateur record from 8-1 to 8-1. Aspen was first introduced to the sport in the year 2015 when she signed with Invicta FC for her professional debut. Aspen fought Ana Carolina Vidal at Invicta FC 11, and defeated her to secure a first-round TKO. Invicta Fighting Championships 16: She won the following match against Amanda Cooper through a second-round Armbar submission. Aspen's dazzling wrestling ability took down McGill, and she was able to end her fight in the third round with a TKO (elbows as well as punches). Aspen took on Jessica Hoy, at Invicta FC 18. She fought Hoy as an opponent with a catchweight (138.1lb) since Ladd didn't gain weight. Aspen still dominated Hoy until she was defeated in the 2nd round via TKO. Invicta FC, 21 was her last fight for promotion. Invicta FC 21, Eubanks prevailed by a majority vote. Aspen Ladd debuted in the UFC in the 118th UFC Fight Night 118, with a bout against Lina Langsberg. She dominated Lina through the ground and pound strategy, resulting in an TKO second round victory. Ladd remained in the lead as she picked up another victory over Tonya Avinger in UFC 229 with her next fight. Ladd ended Evinger's bout after the first round. Also, she was awarded the bonus for performance of evening. Her first fight of note came with her next bout in UFC Fight Night dos Anjos in which she faced. Lee against Sijara Eubanks in the Invicta FC rematch. Ladd took home by a unanimous decision following a great back-and forth fight with the fighters, received the Fight of the Night bonuses. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie beat Ladd within 16-seconds, ending her win streak. In the third round of UFC in ESPN 7, she defeated Yana Kunitskaya. In a recent replacement match for UFC, Norma Dumont was her opponent. It was a unanimous decision in her favor.
